Professionals seminar for those working with tamariki who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

The outcomes for tamariki and rangatahi in care and for those who have experienced adverse childhood experiences makes grim reading. We know that what we have been doing for the past 50 years is not working – this is shown by the worsening statistics for our children and young people.

This full day presentation will introduce you to Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) and the PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) attitude – models of practice that Caring Families Aotearoa have been using and evaluating over the past four years.

We now have the science and expertise to better understand the developing brain and the significance this has for tamariki who have experienced adversity in their early years. We know the importance of attachment and positive relationships is imperative to healing our children.

This workshop will provide an opportunity to better understand these practices and how to implement these models into your everyday interactions.

Please register by 23 February 2024.

This workshop is for professionals only.
