Trust-Based Relational Intervention, listed on the California Clearinghouse for Evidence Based practices, is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children and families.

TBRI educates and equips caregivers with knowledge and skills that empower them to provide healing care for a child who has experienced trauma. TBRI is specifically designed for children who have histories of relational trauma or have experienced early adversity such as maltreatment, abuse, neglect, multiple home placements, and violence. This holistic, multidisciplinary approach has been used in homes, schools, residential treatment centers and other programs serving children. TBRI offers practical tools for parents, caregivers, teachers, or anyone who works with children, to see the “whole child” in their care and help that child reach his highest potential.

During this two-day workshop you’ll gain a foundational understanding of TBRI and walk away with strategies and tools you can put into immediate use! Attendees also have the opportunity to attend follow up TBRI intensives that provide deep dives into each of the three TBRI principles. This event is for professionals and those who care for and interact with children who have experienced trauma, including: Child Welfare Workers, Judges, Foster Parents, CASA Staff and Volunteers, Teachers, Counselors, Policy Makers, Nonprofits, Community Leaders.
